Components of the Cantilever Lumber Rack System

All lumber storage rack systems require the following components:

• Cantilever rack uprights - The main vertical structural component in any cantilever rack installation
• Cantilever rack arms - Cantilever arms make up the levels
• Cantilever bracing - Horizontal braces or x-braces go between uprights and stabilize the lumber racking

A typical lumber shelving system consists of uprights, bases, arms and bracing (horizontal and/or x-bracing styles depending upon the size of the rack). Arms and bases can be installed on the front side only, which is known as single sided cantilever racking, or on both the front and back sides, which is known as double sided cantilever racking. Depending upon the space you have available and your individual needs, the configurability of cantilever racking systems are endless.
