Republic Pallet Rack is less common than it used to be, however there is still a large amount of this racking used today. Republic racking is also known by Keystone racking - because the holes in the uprights look like a keystone. Republic racking is most often yellow for the beams and gray for the upright columns. Republic rack beam clips have hooks with square, not round, tops.
Republic pallet racking, another popular brand of pallet racking on the market, has been around for several years.
The vertical structure that dictates the height and depth of the pallet racking system. Two upright frames are needed for a starting bay. Once the first structure is in place, only one additional upright frame is needed to add on. Upright frames come in two post sizes depending on weight capacity needs.
The horizontal weight-bearing structure connecting upright frames to each other. Beams come in different lengths and heights depending on the size needed and the weight of stored items. They come in step or box style, which allow the use of optional supports or decking. Beams can be adjusted and reconfigured as needs change.
SJF carries a variety of Keystone and Republic brand pallet rack components in several sizes. Although it's not seen as often as in the past, we carry used beams and uprights for our customers who are looking for it.
Costs vary depending on the size and condition of the components. Upright frames typically range from $188 to $340 or more, while beams generally cost between $40 and $150 or more per level. Used pallet racking is a popular option for businesses looking to save on warehouse storage costs.
Keystone Republic pallet racking can be identified by its distinctive keystone-shaped holes in the upright columns. The uprights are typically gray or blue, the beams are usually yellow, and the beam clip hooks have square tops rather than round.
Standard pallet racking systems typically support 15,000 to 18,000 lbs per bay. Heavy duty configurations can handle 25,000 to 30,000 lbs or more depending on the setup and components used.
A pallet racking bay is a single section of racking with an upright frame on each side connected by beams. When two bays are placed back-to-back, this is referred to as double deep racking.
Pallet racks can be configured up to 240 inches high, depending on the upright frame size and the requirements of the facility.
Pallet racking utilizes vertical space with shelving levels created by beams connected to upright frames. Forklifts are used to load and unload pallets onto the beam levels, maximizing warehouse storage capacity.
